Youth get Wired
WiredWoods, a non-profit startup, took part
in Citizen Schools' TechExpo recently.
WiredWoods offers a computer-based curriculum
to encourage technology interest among low-income middle school-aged
children.
The expo showcased the work of inner-city
youth who have mastered various software packages including
Adobe Photoshop, or have created Web sites using applications
such as Dreamweaver.
The WiredWoods program was founded by Paul
Deninger, the chairman and chief executive officer of Broadview

Citizen Schools is a non-profit program that
matches volunteers from the all areas of the corporate world
with students who are between the ages of nine and 14 years
